Trck.me – Custom Link Demo

Websites have become more than putting in meta tags into your website and praying to the Google Gods you get a good ranking after a few months. If you still have that same thought process of 1999 then you may wonder why you are not appearing on the first 10 pages of Google’s search engine.

The image I posted below is a great bird’s eye view of what people need to think about if they want to have a HUGE presence on the internet. Does it look a little daunting to you? To 99% of individuals out in internet land looking at this don’t even know where to begin. The word ‘daunting’ may be the biggest understatement of the decade.

But, there is something missing from this mind-map below is… Tracking

After all is said and done and you’ve tackled every piece on this mind-map you still need to know where your links are coming from. Sure you can use Google Analytics, but how are you tracking specific things on your page? For example, you may have a text-link, an image-link and a banner ad on your article which links back to your website. How do you know which link is effective? With Trck.me you can customize your links from one single tracking code.

For example: If your tracking code back to your website is http://trckrs.com/MyBrand you can easily adjust the link to be;

  • http://trckrs.com/MyBrand/blogger01textlink01 for the text link
  • http://trckrs.com/MyBrand/blogger01imagelink01 for the image link
  • http://trckrs.com/MyBrand/blogger01bannerad01 for the banner link

All your hard work into promoting yourself and your back links, ads and whatnot will be worth nothing if you don’t track where they are coming from.
